Scientific Name: Ambassis Kopsii
Local Name(s):

This fish are often found along our coastline where there are covers such as jetties, piers and seawall. The fish seek protection and food from these covers and they are commonly found to gather in small groups, wandering through all depth along its cover.

The fish has no sports/food/bait value and is often considered a pest/bait stealer to an angler. As any other fish, it helps to maintain the ecology of the fishing ground and should be released whenever it is caught. This fish can be easily caught using small pieces of prawn meat, and sometimes takes small feathered jigs too.
